About Us
Southern Time Productions is a music and film production, social innovator company based in Toronto producing great music and film works to accelerate public awareness and action to global health, social, and environmental concerns.
Beginning in 2005 with the production of openly HIV-positive musician Timothy Bartsch’s rock opera ‘Southern Time’ as a multimedia stage production in Vancouver, BC, since then, STP has been working to produce Southern Time into cinematic form.
‘Lost in Love No More’ is the first studio-recorded album by the Southern Time Band. It also serves as the ‘overture’ album for the cinematic ‘Dreamer’ series, as the STB is the series’ ‘rock opera’ band. STP will produce and release the series over the 2020s.
As any good overture in classical music parlance signifies, an overture serves as a piece of music for the orchestra to play at the beginning of an opera or ballet. The word comes from the French word for “opening” because it “opens” the show. Overtures usually have melodies that the audience will hear during the opera or ballet, and STB’s ‘Lost in Love No More’ album does not disappoint!
The Dreamer series’ audience will listen to every song on this album at one time or another, at least, in part, during the series. Lost in Love No More also encapsulates the grand opera’s emotional arc relatively in a nutshell ~ from depression and despair to restoration, restitution, and triumph!
According to its song order, suffice to say, listening to the album will allow the listener to take a deep dive into the concept album’s impassioned narrative and profound universal message and will give an emotional sneak peek into what’s to come in the series…

Southern Time Band
The Southern Time Band is the rock opera band for the Dreamer series. STB comprises HIV-positive lead singer ‘T‘ and HIV-positive backup singer Justin Anantawan. The instrumentalists of the band have performed with some of the most famous musicians that have ever lived. Based in Toronto, for hire, the STB is willing to travel anywhere in Canada to perform an event as preproduction on the Dreamer series begins.
Dreamer series
‘Dreamer’ will be a five-season series produced and released throughout the 2020s. The series tells how T acquired HIV and what living with it has been like for him, and the social and spiritual insights because of having both HIV and AIDS. It will demonstrate how the choice of each person on Earth has to affect the whole positively. ‘Lost in Love No More, ‘the Southern Time Band’s first album, also serves as the series’ overture, released July 6th, 2020.
Community Activism
Our fans will be able to connect, dialogue, and act, as many forces in our world attempt to exploit individuals’ perceived differences. A healthy society needs to come and create together. Still, nearly 1 million people die from AIDS every year. If the world is to meet UNAIDS’ goal of ending AIDS by 2030, citizens from around the world must work together to achieve this objective. We created the Southern Time Foundation in February 2020, and are awaiting its funding to begin operations. Once funded, it will support HIV/AIDS initiatives worldwide that are making a difference in ending AIDS. Donate for the reduction of HIV in Canada today!

Southern Time Foundation
Once Southern Time Productions and the Southern Time Foundation obtain funding, we will work out a collaboration agreement between our two companies working to end AIDS. Once funded, the STF will reach out to communities in Canada where the rates of HIV and AIDS are still disproportionately high. Together, we will then discover the root causes of why the rates of HIV/AIDS are so high in their communities and then find and fund innovative ways of decreasing their HIV and AIDS rates.
The above will be the STF’s pilot project, which will last at least one year. Learning from this trial’s successes and failures, we will apply adaptive methodologies to different communities around the world where HIV and AIDS are still highly prevalent.
