Those earning a livelihood from live shows, technicians, DJs, musicians will be struggling big time with a terrible blow to volunteers who’ve worked hard to make the events happen.

All live music shows have been cancelled or delayed while festivals, tours & award shows kept on hold till the pandemic leaves and allows us to live with good health and peace all over again.

Sealed cafes and restaurants would mean no relishing your food along with a piece of live music, consider your dining room and Spotify playlist for the same.

However, music artists are discovering new ways to engage with their fans.

Introduction of Virtual Concerts

So what if you couldn’t watch your favourite artist perform live, you can surely groove at home while watching their virtual concerts online.

Every artist around the world is sharing their musical artworks via free live streams and building long-term connections with their audience.

Many came up with the concept of “Virtual Concerts”; it includes giving a concert experience by going live via Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.

Some of the virtual concerts happening over the quarantine period include “iHeartLiving” and “Together At Home”

Live Streaming

A Live Stream is transferring or receiving a video and audio of an event through the internet.

‘Black Pumas’, an American psychedelic soul-based band in Austin, Texas led by Eric Burton and guitarist Adrian Quesada also partnered with YouTube for a live stream performance.

Just like the rest of all bands, musicians and singers are collaborating with YouTube or taking an initiative themselves to connect with their fans during the lockdown period.

There is a tendency to carry forward the lockdown music trend post-COVID-19 until the scenario gets better, until then a home-based concert without a large crowd around you would be a nice idea to cope with it.

The industry is fighting back with new ways of dealing with monetary losses experienced by the music artists.

Spotify has launched a COVID-19 music relief to provide important resources and financial support to artists experiencing income loss.

The better and more poignant question, in my opinion, is whether people in the West will allow mandatory vaccinations and another trampling of civil liberties and freedoms out of fear of COVID-19. An authoritarian rule such as is in China, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, or any other non-Western countries is only a mere step away unless the local populace continuously EXERCISES their rights for their freedoms and liberties WHEN THEY HAVE THEM. Despots have ruled most of human history to one degree or another, and even ‘democracy’ (AKA corporate-manipulated mob-rule), is no utopia. The societies that Western peoples have created over the last five hundred years have allowed their citizens relative freedom in regards to independence and liberties, such as the freedom to associate, freedom of religion, the freedom of speech (a big one), and the right to bear arms (which is not freedom in most Western nations).

Safeguarding these God-given human rights is essential for a civilized society to reach its maximum creative potential and to work together to ensure that we care for everybody in that society. If people exercised these freedoms to their full extent, we could achieve a relative utopia (social anarchy, common-law based communities) to the ‘best country in the world’ (e.g., ‘Canada’). The ruling elite, at any time and place, does not want the masses in their nation (or, as in the current case, the whole Earth), to exercise these freedoms. The less ‘privileges’ for the masses, the better in their (psychopathic) minds. It means more wealth, power, and control for them.

Ever since 9/11, the fear-mongering, the demolition of civil liberties and freedoms, and government/corporate/technocratic encroachment into people’s lives have been out of control. Whenever the powers-that-be use a ‘false-flag event’ to deceive the masses, if the people fall for it and allow their freedoms to be taken away because of the lie, it is permitting the deceivers to do as they please. 

For, NO ONE CAN TAKE YOUR POWER AWAY UNLESS YOU GIVE IT TO THEM. I believe we are all sentient beings, with the innate power of ‘God’ within each of us. 

We are more powerful than what we’ve been led to believe.

Even when it comes to HIV. Despite nearly one million people still dying from AIDS each year globally, this does not need to be so. I take one antiretroviral pill every other day, and my viral load has remained undetectable since 2010, and my CD4 cell count (white killer blood cells) is now comparable with a healthy person’s – despite nearly dying from AIDS in 2009. An undetectable HIV viral load also means that a person cannot transmit the virus, even while having unprotected sex. Are pharmaceuticals the only way to control HIV? I don’t think so.  

I have a close friend in South Africa who has remained healthy through natural means. She has never taken any antiretrovirals, yet does get her HIV blood work regularly done and maintains a low viral and high CD4 count through eating healthy (she’s vegan), taking liposomal vitamin C, Chaga mushrooms, and a whole other host of healthy, natural practices.  

I also do not credit my good health now solely to the pharmaceuticals that I take. No one is an island, and it is because of the relationships that I have maintained and developed and holding myself accountable to becoming a better person in every way – has my health so dramatically improved over the last decade.

Whenever a person gives their sovereignty away to a government or corporation (including the religious kind), they are asking for trouble. 

Whenever one gives into fear, they are asking for death. Whenever one does not believe in themselves, they are sabotaging themselves.  

Be strong, work together, and we will get through the 2020s.

And now a new decade is about to begin. Full of worry and fears from all sides of the aisles. Promise or threat of 5G, heaven or hell, is but one of a multitude of conundrums we as global citizens who care about the future of our world must consider.

For me personally, 2019 was full of hopes and promises, temporary dips downwards, but an ever-increasing upward trend for the Southern Time project to finally realize its solid foundation. We recorded the Southern Time Band’s (STB) first music video, I am almost midway through YEDI’s not-for-profit program, and all that is lacking now are the funds to record the band’s first album. I will soon be applying for the STB to play and debut ‘Lost in Love No More‘ to the world at AIDS 2020 in San Francisco in July. The album needs to be mastered at least a couple of months before then, so the marketing campaign (e.g., music videos) and world tour preparations can kick into gear full swing.

If at least part of the money to record the album (about $100,000 CDN, including promotion) does not come in by the end of January, the Southern Time project may not occur. The stars have aligned for this time.

If the Southern Time project can first make its mark on the world in 2020, then the world can indeed end AIDS by 2030. Don’t believe me?! See T’s Instagram video here.

Southern Time is about making the world livable, enjoyable, and to have freedom for all. The Southern Time team wants to do this by first helping the world end AIDS by 2030 using the power of music and film. If the world can meet UNAIDS’s goal, we can accomplish anything.

So, I am praying. For our world, and for my personal life and higher aspirations. My partner and I are expecting our first child in February next year, so I have this to think about as well. The ramifications of raising a child in such a tumultuous time should not be deliberated lightly.

Hey folks! I hope you are doing well. My partner and I returned to Toronto a few days ago, and I am now finally getting back into the groove of post-vacation artistic equilibrium. 

The Old Pedomaster is Dead?

And what ‘earth-shattering,’ predictable news this morning!! Jeffrey Epstein successfully ‘committed suicide’ during his second attempt. How undeniably and obviously predictable! With so many potential nefarious connections of how the global elite operates being at least somewhat exposed in some small momentous manner, Mr. Epstein was simply too much of a liability to keep alive. The first ‘attempted suicide’ did not work, so ‘they’ made sure the second one did.  

And, while we are thinking in a big-picture way, let’s go a step further and speculate on how the media events of the last couple weeks played out, and what the media’s intentions might have been. Namely, the three mass shootings in the USA last week. This is a rabbit hole I know many of you will immediately shout ‘CONSPIRACY THEORIST!!!’, but as a self-employed musician/entrepreneur, I have more time than most to research how the state of our world and its affairs are run. 

False Flag Events

The ‘conspiracy theory’ I am talking about is that of ‘false flag events,’ of which the mainstream media narrates, consists of a story behind them that is unlike and often in complete opposition to the account being told. Moreover, the evidence that there are holes in the official narrative are often glaring and apparent — if one cares to look even a little way into them.

Censorship

We have been living in an era where open information is shared globally in an instant. Still, this freedom may be soon ending or, at least, to a degree, harder to access. As an example of a highly educated and open-minded truthful discussion of the recent American mass shootings, check out Dr. Katherine Horton and Jim Fetzer’s interview regarding the El Paso and Dayton attacks (while the video is still up).

Project Mockingbird

The ‘mainstream media,’ in my opinion, is a shallow and trite form of infotainment, something designed to program the minds of the general public, to manufacture consent for whatever the agenda the elites of our world desire. I have not watched TV in years, and I highly suggest you do not either. Propaganda is toxic as it causes cognitive dissonance. 

Whenever we are lied to, as in the case of being deceived by a loved one — this causes stress in our inner and physical being. We do not know what is wrong, but we know SOMETHING IS WRONG. Propaganda means being lied to (or the truth stretched to some degree) by one’s government. And the media, the ‘Fourth Estate,’ is the government’s voice. Real journalism is the pursuit of truth.

Where Did the Real Journalists Go?

Hardly any pure and real journalism occurs in any nation around the world nowadays, especially in the West. Every earthly citizen that is connected to the open internet now has an opportunity to find out what might be really going on in our world, but this window is closing. Censorship on Google and social media sites are occurring at an accelerated pace. 

I suggest we all become citizen journalists, with real journalism being exercised in the purest sense. After all, many if not most of us now have smartphones. And though, even as the primary current platforms from which we exchange information and ideas are compromised and propagandized, we find alternate websites and ways to continue to enjoy this fortunate, globally-connected time we happen to currently live in.

Howdy, folks!! Summer vacations are (partly) what makes life worth living, no?

Bella Coola

My partner and I flew to Vancouver to visit my Mom and Stepdad on July 24. We then all took ferry rides to reach British Columbia’s Central Coast, namely the town of Bella Coola. I last went here on my own in 2014 for the first time and fell in love with this place. It’s nestled in a valley surrounded by three walls of tall tree-covered mountains where the Bella Coola River meets the ocean. Sir Alexander Mackenzie accomplished the first east to west crossing of North America in 1793, which preceded the more famous Lewis and Clark Expedition by 12 years. However, Indigenous tribes had already been living for 10,000 years, and still do to this day!

Sweet Mary

I made friends with a Nuxalk elder, Mary Mack, in 2014, and was delighted to reconnect with her in person on this trip. This tribe lived in many villages in a 100 square mile radius in this area, but 90 percent of their population was wiped out by smallpox when the Europeans arrived. The Indigenous across Canada tend to be extremely warm and welcoming if you’re warm and authentic with them, and sweet Mary is a perfect example of such hospitality.

Kwatna

Also, fresh salmon and crab! My partner and I took a boat out to a place where the Nuxalk used to live, Kwatna Bay, and we tried to climb a hill where we would like to live one day. Suffice to say, we only made about 50 meters up the mountain, as trying to climb through undisturbed rainforest growth is quite the challenge! We had fun, though, and we’re blessed to watch and listen to hundreds of dolphins feast on fish in the bay. Even though we are heading back to Vancouver tomorrow, this nature retreat was undoubtedly a significant and necessary change to the rat race of Toronto!

Indigenous Wisdom

I wish everyone in our world could be so fortunate and privileged to once again live in balance with nature. I believe the Indigenous peoples of Mother Earth hold the knowledge and wisdom to live in balance with nature, as they have been doing just that since homo sapiens began. Beyond climate change agendas and technology, they hold the key to saving our world. All too often, though, the Indigenous are marginalized, stigmatized, and are victims of (unacknowledged) racism (in Canada). They also experience six times the rates of disease, addictions, and misfortunes as the average Canadian. They are often pawns used for corporate and government interests. Missing and murdered Indigenous women still occur in B.C. Rates of HIV/AIDS in Saskatchewan among their tribes are comparable to those in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Residential Schools

Not to mention the legacy of residential schools run by the Catholic, Anglican and United Churches in cooperation with the Canadian government, which did not entirely end until the 1990s. Mary Mack and others have said that 50 percent of the children brought into these schools did not come out alive. Moreover, many of those who survived never saw their parents or spoke their languages again. Mary Mack’s father had the foresight to take his kids into the woods when the Indian Agents came for the Nuxalk kids. However, even in the day-schools that she went to in town, the teachers would beat them if they spoke their native tongue.

Genocide comes in many forms and still goes on around the world. Time for such barbarism to stop, eh?

Hi, y’ all. For those in the Northern Hemisphere, I hope you all are enjoying your summers. I sure am!!! My fiancé and I will soon be leaving for vacation to B.C. (Canada) to visit my mom and stepdad and friends in Vancouver. We will then take a ferry trip to Bella Coola up B.C.’s Central Coast. FUN!!!! As the topic that the title of this blog implies, and with Jeffrey Epstein being in the mainstream news (again), this is an issue (aka ‘conspiracy theory’) that first raised its head in the 1980s in the U.S.

Franklin and the Finders

I am talking about the Franklin Scandal. George Bush Sr. as well as other high-level U.S. politicians were suggested they were involved in a child prostitution ring. Then, along came allegations that a group based in Washington, D.C. called ‘The Finders’ were trafficking children, as many unkempt children with signs of abuse were found in a van in Florida in 1987, apparently on their way to a ‘brilliant school in Mexico.’ The story appeared in the local newspaper one week that year, then disappeared as quickly as it appeared. Many chalked such stories up to the ‘Satanic panic’ of the 1980s in America.

Epstein

Jeffrey Epstein was first accused of running his prostitution ring of underage girls in 2005. The world first learned of his ‘Lolita Express’ that flew high-level politicians, celebrities, scientists (e.g., Stephen Hawking) and royalty to his ‘Pedophile Island.’ Although he had to officially register as a sex offender, he quickly got a sweetheart deal. He did not spend any real time in prison.

Savvy Savile, Hellish Heath, and Pizzagate?

Then came along the British scandals of Jimmy Savile and Prime Minister Edward Heath as posthumously being identified as having been predatory child sexual abusers for decades in the 2010s. Britain, in particular, has a long and documented history with pedophilia. Also, one cannot forget ‘Pizzagate‘ in the U.S. that many chalked up to being yet another conspiracy theory — which it may have been but might have been simply a distraction for the real elephant in the room that many if not most politicians in power in the U.S. (and other Western countries) are controlled by pedophilic control files.

Institutional Genocide

However, the scandals of multitudes of Catholic priests, Cardinals, and higher being accused and convicted of pedophilic misdeeds since the 2000s alongside the awareness of the mass murder in Indigenous residential schools in Canada ARE REAL and is of urgent concern. Child sexual abuse has been going on since civilization began. It’s time it all stopped, eh?

Back to Jeffrey

And now, Epstein is in the news again.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. If relatively few people wanted to control the affairs of our world, how would they do it? As any mobster can tell you, blackmail works.

We live in a time when lies and deceit are being exposed, and pretty much the only thing one can trust is their intuition and deductive thinking. Indeed, not our governments, institutions, and the lamestream media. Let’s build a world of leaders free from being compromised. It starts with us — being honest with ourselves and everyone around us, doing our utmost to doing no harm to individuals who have less power or privilege than us. For, the moral qualities of leaders only rise from the noble traits of the masses.

Southern Time Productions‘ mission is in part to expose the injustices of the world through art in film to encourage people to hold authorities accountable for their actions and misdeeds — and to NEVER LET A CHILD BE HARMED AGAIN.

Howdy-doody, folks!! Last night, Bryant Didier, the Southern Time Band’s bassist/producer, recorded and mapped out the 8 songs of the album-to-be ‘Lost in Love No More.’

This recording will serve as a template for the other members of the Southern Time Band to start getting ideas about what they might contribute to the songs. If funding one way or another comes in, the band will commence its first workshop of the songs in August. As well, we want to record two demo songs from the album by the end of the month.

What is the Southern Time Band? It is the rock opera band for the cinematic rock opera ‘Southern Time’ T wrote. We produced a multi-media stage production of Southern Time back in 2005, but it was always meant to be on the big screen. T is the lead singer of the band, is HIV positive, and nearly died from AIDS in 2009. Another of the band’s vocalists, Justin Anantawan, is also HIV positive. We want to not only make great music and film but also want to help end AIDS by 2030.

We are not famous yet, but we want and need it to be, so please share the cause and spread the word about our rock opera band to your friends.

Our Plan of Action

We will continue to rehearse weekly in September until our backup singer Justin Anantawan (who is currently away), rejoins us for another workshop around the start of October. We want to prepare the songs for performances, which will begin mid-October. Our goal is to start recording the album starting in January 2020.

The songs that will be on the album are ~

1. Lost in Love: T’s journey with HIV (which has really been a journey with love) in a nutshell.
2. Time: Expresses T’s state of being while living with HIV for over 23 years thus far, namely, timelessness…
3. Desert Moon: Expresses the feeling of desolation and despair T felt the few years after testing positive in 1996.
4. Searching for Love: The song on the album that’s most like musical theatre. Self-explanatory.
5. Lies: T wrote this song in his late 20s when he realized most of everything in our world was a sham, including the lies he told himself.
6. Neville: The song T wrote when the professor who infected him with HIV and he started to truly reconcile.
7. Hey Charlie: T wrote this song in 2018, the year that the professor died. He and T became the best of friends by then.
8. When The Fire Dreams: Yet-to-be-completed by the Southern Time Band as a whole! A song of triumph over despair.

We are currently awaiting word from the Canada Council for the Arts regarding whether our two grant applications were successful or not (should find out in the next two weeks). We have also been trying by any means possible to find an angel investor. If Southern Time Productions and the Southern Time Band (under Southern Time Productions) are to help end AIDS through the power of music and film, the first studio album of the Southern Time Band must garner a global reach after the album’s release. This will require heavy promotion and music videos made before the album’s release, with a world tour following. These endeavors will not be inexpensive.

But there is no rest for the wicked. I have faith now that Southern Time will happen like never before, but there are two sides to faith. One must do their part if the Universe is to reciprocate.

Which is why we are asking you to help if you can and feel so moved. Time is of the essence, and the potential positive impact the Southern Time project can have is enormous but time-sensitive. Why are health and fitness vital for life? One may take it for granted, but I could not be afforded the privilege of not being able to slack on eating healthy foods, regularly exercising, practicing a balanced yogic mindset, and be able to maintain a productive, youthful lifestyle. You see, I tested positive for HIV in 1996 when I was twenty when HIV still pretty much equaled AIDS. The life-saving medications that came out that year were
beginning their field-testing stage. Nobody knew precisely how affective they would turn out to be. These anti-retroviral cocktails had many side effects in the beginning (of which I experience many), but the science has come a long way. If one now has access to consistent, effective, and affordable HIV medications, and dutifully takes their regimen, they can live an average lifespan and engage in unprotected sex without infecting their partner. U=U.

However, not too much of the general public is aware of how far HIV science has come. The world could end AIDS by 2030 if it only tried.

Goals

My name is T and I am also a classically trained musician. However, after testing HIV positive in 1996, I quit my classical music studies. I started to compose songs and learn how to sing. This musical change of career eventually led to the composition and production of my rock opera ‘Southern Time‘ as a multi-media stage production in Vancouver in 2005. After nearly dying from AIDS in 2009 (I was not taking medications or seeing a doctor for 10 years), in 2015, I moved to Toronto for the third time to put the Southern Time Band together — the rock opera band for the cinematic version of my rock opera. In 2018, I found the instrumentalists for the band, and in 2019 I found Justin Anantawan — the first of possibly three additional HIV positive singers in the band. Justin and I want to help end AIDS by 2030 through encouraging the Southern Time Band’s fans to pressure their governments to meet UNAIDS‘ goal. The band is now ready to record our first album, but we lack the funds to do so. We also need to perform more to refine the songs before recording.

Method

In 2014, I became vegetarian, eating mostly organic foods, and since, my physical health and clarity of mind have been relatively exceptional. And in 2016, I started seeing a naturopath, and have subsequently been receiving weekly acupuncture treatment and health advice. In 2018, I started seeing a physiotherapist, which has made me understand what it will take to get my mobility back to normal again. I also try to walk in nature, mindfully or swim at least three times per week. And though I am now forty-three, people often comment on how young and healthy I look. However, I have been eating healthy and exercising in nature since I tested positive. If I did not do so, I believe I would not enjoy the health I do today.

Recommendations

I have found is that if one watches what they eat, regular exercises, and directs their health and self-care, the results of such are staggering. A reliable and positive support network is also a must. Though I have sustained potentially permanent lower spinal cord damage from nearly dying from AIDS, my nerves are still improving every year. As well, my immune system is now as comparable again — health wise — to an average person’s.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to eat healthily, and maintaining regular exercise is to one’s overall physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies.
