Southern Time Productions (STP) is a Toronto-based media-tech company with one bold mission: to merge cinematic and musical excellence with social impact. We pair original film and music with the Southern Time Platform, a data-sovereign streaming, creator-commerce, and community ecosystem, to create art that entertains, inspires, and drives meaningful change. Flagship Project: Dreamer

At the core of STP is Dreamer — a psycho-spiritual thriller rock opera five-season saga — that bridges a gritty, true-life hospital drama with a breathtaking sci-fi epic, and more.

Written by Founder & CEO Tim Bartsch (T), the series tells his journey of contracting HIV, nearly dying of AIDS-related illness in 2009, and rebuilding his life with resilience and integrity. The narrative unfolds across three interconnected worlds: the stark reality of a palliative care ward, Dreamer’s memories of his youth, and ‘Zyx’—a vibrant, harmonious dimension where music is a tangible force for positive change.

Dreamer is both personal and universal—an exploration of stigma, justice, and hope, told through raw authenticity and unforgettable music. It is a metaphysical journey into the power of music and memory to heal the human spirit.

• Season One is fully scripted, with all 17 episodes finalized and every episode broken down for cost (locations, sets, VFX, music, and legal review) to shape our production budget. Series packaging is underway, with preproduction ready to begin upon funding.
• Release strategy: Season One premieres first on the Southern Time Platform, giving us aggregate audience insight before licensing the series elsewhere.
• Target audience: LOHAS and Cultural Creatives, an estimated 500 million people globally, an under-served market hungry for meaningful, values-driven entertainment.
• Revenue potential: platform subscriptions and pay-per-view, licensing and distribution, soundtracks and live performance, creator-commerce, ethical sponsorships, and NGO collaborations.

Dreamer premieres on our own platform: a data-sovereign ecosystem that brings together an ad-free streaming hub, direct-to-fan commerce for The Promise, and a private, vetted community for LOHAS and Cultural Creatives. Members own their data and identities, and we never sell user data. The Platform’s Foundation vertical will connect donors and impact investors directly to the communities the Southern Time Foundation serves.
